Ben Thanh Market
Built in 1914, is one of the business spots in
Ho Chi Minh City. Everything for daily use, from living fish and fresh fruit to souvenirs and electronic appliances, can be found there. The market is so closely tied to the city’s life that the clock tower as its main gate has long been  considered a symbol of the city.

Reunification Palace
Laid out on Feng-shui geomancy principles, it is the most beautiful building of Vietnamese architecture of the 1960’s. The building is preserved almost as it was – a presidential palace - under the old Saigon regime with the interior sophisticatedly decorated with fine Vietnamese art and crafts. 

HCMC Central Post Office
Completed in 1891 under architect Villedieu’s design, this magnificent building is located on a high hillock by the site of the famous municipal Notre Dame Cathedral. The building’s front side as adorned with rectangle squares inscribed with the names of telegraphic and electric inventor together with men and women wearing laurel wreaths. A big clock is hung over the dome of the building. Inside the builing, visitors can see two historical maps, one is “Saigon and its environment” created in 1892 and “Telegraphic network in
Southern Vietnam and Combodia”created in 1936. 

Notre Dame Cathedral
Inaugurated in 1880, Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the oldest and biggest Catholic churches in
Vietnam. This Neo-Romanesque architecture, built with bricks and tiles imported from France, reminds you of the cathedral in Paris, Chartres or Rime. Visitors can attend mass held three times on weekdays and six times on Sundays.

Viet Nam Historical Museum
Built in 1929, the
Vietnam Historical Museum has an excellent collection of about 30.000 artifacts on the evolution and development of the history and cultures of Vietnam. From the Bronze Age Dong Son civilization (13th century BC) to the last feudal dynasty ending in the mid-20th century, with emphasis in the southern Funan, Vietnamese, Cham and Kh’me civilization and regional acculturation. 

Ho Chi Minh Museum
Located at a junction on Saigon River, the Ho Chi Minh Museum was built in 1873 in European architecture except the roof which was preserved in elegant Asian style. The museum has a collection of 3.000 pictures and 700 artifacts, among which are plain everyday use objects of the first President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
